Water Still is electrically operated, for pyrogen free distilled water. The main body is made of stainless steel sheet. A triple vapour baffle of stainless steel is provided, the lid gets automatically sealed by water forming in a recess in the head of the lid and this minimises the loss of steam. The still is fitted with immersion type elements which are capable of displacing the connectors if the still runs dry. However to ensure long service special care should be taken to avoid the still running dry as the protective arrangement cannot be expected to last beyond three operations.
In case of burn out of the heating elements it can be easily replaced. The stated output of the still is approximate as it is bound to vary according to the voltage of the mains. The still is provided with wall brackets.
