About Abbe Refractometer
ABBE REFRACTOMETER :
Designed for accurate and quick examination of the
- Refractive index
- Mean Dispersion of liquids , solids and powder.
The body of the instrument is fixed having a leaning of 60, correct refractive index and sugar percentage can be read directly in the field.
It consists of abbe double prism compensator , telescope mirro limb, graduated, sector, reading, magnifier and a radial arm which carries a vernier. Abbe's double prisms leaves a narrow space ( about 0.1mm) between the adjoining faces of prisms and compensator consists of the amici prisms which serves for rendering the line of achromatic seperation. A thermometer is fitted on the double prism.
Power and PerformanceDesigned for optimum performance in industrial settings, the Abbe Refractometer runs efficiently on 240-volt power supply. The robust construction and high voltage compatibility ensure consistent results even during continuous operations.
Precision EngineeringConstructed from powder-coated mild steel, the refractometer is resilient against corrosion and wear, guaranteeing long-term reliability. Its design prioritizes user-friendly operation, stability, and measurement accuracy.
Applications and VersatilityThis instrument is extensively used in sectors such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and food industries to analyze solutions and ensure product quality. Its adaptability ensures it meets diverse industrial requirements.
FAQ's of Abbe Refractometer:
Q: How is the Abbe Refractometer used in industrial settings?
A: The Abbe Refractometer is primarily used to measure the refractive index of liquids or solids. In industrial applications, technicians place a sample on the refraction prism and record measurements, ensuring quality control during production processes.
Q: What material is used for the refractometer's construction and why?
A: This model is made from mild steel that is powder-coated. The powder coating provides a resistant outer layer, protecting the refractometer from corrosion, scratches, and wear-essential features for industrial environments.
Q: When is it appropriate to use this refractometer?
A: The Abbe Refractometer should be used when precise refractive index readings are required, typically during formulation, quality checks, or research activities in industries such as pharmaceuticals and food processing.
Q: Where is the Abbe Refractometer supplied and manufactured?
A: This refractometer is manufactured, supplied, and exported from India, making it readily available for both domestic and international customers.
Q: What is the process of taking a refractive index measurement?
A: To measure, a small amount of the sample is placed between the refractometer's prisms. The user then adjusts the dial to obtain a clear reading, which is reflected on the instrument's calibrated scale for accurate results.
Q: What are the benefits of using a 240-volt Abbe Refractometer in industry?
A: Using a 240-volt model ensures stable power input and reliable operation even during continuous industrial use. The result is consistent, high-precision readings that support quality assurance and process optimization.
